Munir gives a definitive ‘yes’ to Sevilla
Sevilla have reached an agreement with Munir El Haddadi for the Barcelona forward to move to Pablo Machin‘s side this month, rather than wait until the summer.
The 23-year-old was expected to join Sevilla when his contract expires in June but after Ernesto Valverde’s comments, where he stated that Munir would no longer feature for the club after deciding to leave, a decision has been made to accelerate the move.
Munir and his agent, Francisco Valdivieso, had a meeting on Thursday evening, during Barcelona‘s 2-1 loss away to Levante in the Copa del Rey, where they decided on his fate.
Atletico Madrid showed some late interest in the Spaniard, but Munir has opted to go with Sevilla as it is likely that he will feature more regularly for them, in addition to rewarding their long-lasting interest in him.
It is now up for Sevilla and Barcelona to find a deal, with the cost expected to be around three million euros, given his contract is up in less than six months’ time.
Munir is thought to be signing a three or four-year contract with Sevilla.
