FIFA celebrates International Day of Sport for Development and Peace

To help underscore the vital role that sport can play in advancing human development and peace, FIFA will be joining other organizations tomorrow 6 April to celebrate and promote the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace. United Nations.

Launched in 2013 by the United Nations General Assembly, this initiative aims to raise awareness of the contribution of sport and physical activity to education, development, health and peace. FIFA, as the governing body of world football, will promote this event on its social media, as well as highlight some of the sustainable development projects it is pursuing in partnership with the six confederations and its affiliates. 211 member associations.
